Type 1 – True Floating Knee

The knee joint is isolated completely and not involved, with either shaft fractured.

Type 2 – Variant Floating knee

Involves one or more joints with either shaft fractured.

Type 2A

The knee joint alone is involved

Type 2B

Involves the hip or ankle joints
